2·1 year agoYeah Grammarly was selling all your data LONG before the AI showed up.
Funny how some people are only nervous now that their data might be used to train a language model. I was always more worried about spooks! :)
1·1 year agoSpoiler alert, federated networks made up of small-time server owners are extremely vulnerable to both human and AI driven propaganda, dissemination, manipulation etc.
I predict that unfortunately lemmy and the other fediverse networks are doomed. We have maybe a few years at most, then only paywalled serviced will be able to stand up against the onslaught.
Would you be willing to pay like ~$2 dollars a month to avoid this? Or are you expecting solutions for free?
I’ve feel a deep resentment when asked to work on anything Windows related!
