We have to be hip and shorten it, so like maybe instead of package manager it can be pacman or if maybe by distro so like the popos can have a pop shop
The hardest part is picking a username and seeing what the name of the app store is on the distro
That’s super awesome I’ve been wanting to do something similar for a long time, even if it’s just like a portable monitor that I plug my phone into and get a keyboard and mouse in desktop mode where I can VPN into a virtual machine
Some magnetic dust would be cool to see how magnetic fields are around us or something or iron dust
No i don’t but some of them send me money every once in a while just because they use plexripper to download from my server to theirs, I’m going to be running the server anyways so people using it feels better than it sitting idle
I use plex mainly but run jellyfin alongside it for people that watch on mobile.
I started with my old desktop that had an Intel cpu with quicksync and put unraid on it, i started with 2tb disk and gradually switched over to 14tb drives now I’m at 100tb total storage.
I have several famy friends coworkers using it now, at first no one was really interested but as streaming prices went up and content got more dispersed people started jumping on board.
Now multiple friends setup their own servers so its really good coverage especially if I need to take mine down for maintenance the wife can keep watching stuff from other people’s servers.
Things you need to find out is if you are behind a cgnat or other isp issues
Ive been looking at those anker solix battery systems they supposedly can be used as a ups but haven’t looked into how well and you can plug solar panels into them which was my original goal to reduce the power usage from the grid at least for part of the day
I used nextcloud to replace Google drive, i was using the calendar but ended up using the protonmail one instead
I have immich machine learning and ollama with openwebui
I use immich search a lot to find things like pictures of the side of the road to post on my community !sideoftheroad@lemmy.today
I almost never use the ollama though, not really sure what to do with it other than ask it dumb questions just to see what it says
I use the duckduckgo one when it auto has an answer to something I searched but its not too reliable
Why not voice to text
Get steam-headless running on there
The spam messages from the fediverse girl, now with new shirt
After seeing all the posts of the fediverse chick I thought we now had a fediverse dude
Stores like Ross, DD’s, Burlington coat factory tend to end up with a lot of big shoes since they sell leftover stock
They have larger fleets than mexican airlines
maybe you can help guide me, I borked my video drivers on my desktop trying to get opencl to run on darktable with my 7900xtx gpu on popOS
I guess popOS just has older drivers or something and following guides on how to update led me to getting videos to stutter all the time now so Im planning to do a fresh install, would you recommend another distro that might have its drivers more up to date? I am thinking of trying out fedora as I heard that updates much faster than popOS
Thank you, I was just looking into what git is and what I could use it for
