In addition to the great tips here, I say, turn off as many notifications as possible. The only thing I get immediately are calls, SMS, and Slack+work email during office hours. Like many others said, if it’s important, people will call me. Did I miss the message my brother sent the family group chat about his wife being pregnant? Yes, for two days, until he called me. I still found out months before the due date, and my family had a laugh about it. I feel like a fear of missing out is also a big part of these issues, and I think we should try to tell ourselves more that it’s okay, important even, to not keep up with everything all the time.

I also thought you could create an account without your phone number nowadays, but since I already have a phone-connected account, I haven’t tested. Only thing I found in their blog was this: https://signal.org/blog/phone-number-privacy-usernames/

Until now, someone needed to know your phone number to reach you on Signal. Now, you can connect on Signal without needing to hand out your phone number. (You will still need a phone number to register for Signal.) This is where usernames come in.

Not sure if I can give you specific advice, but I would say that your statement that her being naked around you is also a cultural “line” that’s not written in stone. Now I’m assuming that you’re from the US, I’m from a European country where many people don’t have that line. While I don’t have any step family of my own, I can say that I’ve seen and been around many of my in-laws naked without there being any issue. I also grew up in a family where we all saw each other naked all the time, and my wife have a stepfather who’s seen her naked since she and her mom moved in with him when she was about 14. That being said, even in my country I know friends from other families where that would be considered weird, so I’m not trying to say your thinking is inherently wrong. Maybe you should start by discussing this with your partner to get their view on it?

Regarding Zelda, I would expected them to release an upgraded version of totk, since they often seem to release at least one Zelda game for two generations; TP was on GameCube and Wii, BotW was on Wii-U and Switch. Alternatively, a (super-expensive) 2-pack game with BotW+TotK including DLC?
