Boomers are all bigoted, sexist, climate change denying pieces of shit?

… kinda a shitty take there mate. Lots of them are terrible, but so aye lots of people from other generations too, and tarring them all with the same brush is only going to alienate the good ones and make them quite reasonably dislike you.

  • I’m always annoyed when people say “You should just get therapy”, because of how completely inaccessible it is to those of us not wealthy enough to be in the upper middle class, which is most of us these days.

They’re basically saying “Your problems are fixable but only if you’ve got thousands of pounds to throw away on a therapist, if you’re a normal working class person you’re fecked”.

You might as well be saying “Homeless? Just buy a house duuh”.

I know you yourself mean well (and you do use the “practical” caveat which is appreciated), I don’t mean to sound overly harsh, it’s just this comes up a lot and as someone suffering greatly from mental illness destroying my life that I can’t afford to get treatment for it’s very depressing :-(

After your turn the water off in the shower but before you get out, use your hands to wipe off any standing water on your body. Maybe even give your legs a bit of a shake. This way, you won’t drip nearly as much when you get out, keeping the floor and your towel drier.

Are there people that don’t do this? Wouldn’t they absolutely soak their bathroom floor?

Heck, I do this and then use a small towel to get the rest of the initial water off while I’m stood in the shower, that way when I step out I’m no longer dripping wet, and my big main towel can do the rest of the work without needing to get soaked itself.

It can just be thrown on the bed to dry, no need to unfold it, and the smaller very wet towel is easier to find somewhere to hang up.

Anyway that’s my system, a little addition to your tip :-)

  • 6?! They’re up to SIX? I feel like the second one only just came out the other year…

Which one was it where the USA gets invaded and the ISS gets blown up? That’s the last one I played, the concept and set pieces were very cool but the whole thing just felt too much of a repeat of the previous games, so I moved on to fresher stuff after that.

  • American Gods, Rings of Power, Good Omens, the Expanse, Man in the high castle, the Last of us, etc etc.

It’s not always as good of a selection as other services, but it’s got a fair few gems on there and a good amount of back catalogue films and tv shows that are fab :-)

And the fact that they collect so much stuff that would otherwise not be available at all (usually because its only on some random foreign streaming service and refuses to work with netflix) is where they really shine.

That said, I immediately stopped using it when they brought adverts in to the paid subscription. I’m not paying to watch adverts, sorry, no.
