Yeah, that’s how I hope this plays out. I’d love to see a fork take off with a healthier community.

WordPress is dead. Those contributors have all been there for ages. Without them behind it and Matt continuing to shit where he eats, there’s no coming back. It will stick around because it runs a metric fuckton of the web, but I foresee it basically being in a state of super unexciting maintenance mode.

There is absolutely no reason to buy a Ubisoft game anymore, or from any large studio that is trying to appease shareholders first and foremost. They aren’t making games for you to have fun with; they’re making games to extract as much money from you as possible. Instead of giving you fun quests and characters, they are behind the scenes trying to figure out how to manipulate you. Fuck that noise. The last game I paid full AAA price for was Elden Ring because From deserves my money.

Not all conservatives are Nazis, but chances are pretty high based on history that all Nazis are conservatives.

I mean… that is a very liberal thing to do. I wasn’t saying every liberal is like that. I’m saying that kind of behavior falls in line with liberalism.

It’s not a strawman if you’ve actually witnessed it. Those types of ultralibs aren’t well liked even in liberal circles, and they are a rarity. But seeing them crop up and contort themselves into pretzels is amusing.

Some liberals are just more pedantic than others. Most of them are not like that and any time I see them crop up in chats I’m part of, they get scolded by basically everyone. They are the rare ultralibs that have a high level of entitlement.

Liberals saying they support unions and strikes, and then complaining about strikes interrupting commerce and shipping for their own entitled reasons is such a liberal thing to do. They don’t seem to realize that they’re falling for the propaganda traps that are present to try to prevent further support for unionization.

Edit: lol I’ve angered the liberal hive mind. It might be time for some of y’all to read up on the characteristics of classical liberalism and maybe Combat Liberalism instead of feeling attacked and proving my point.

This is why almost every single game I buy now comes from indie devs.

If I see a game with this many yellow flags on the store page, I bail. I do the same when I see it’s an EA game because they can EAt shit.

Also, BF2042 is fucking horrendous. That game killed the series for me.

My city has homeless all over and you see the same faces often. I’ve had chats and given money to a few of them over the years. I met one guy a while back that said he was just hungry and didn’t really care about money. I went and bought him a sandwich at the grocery store nearby. When I came back, someone else had given him a sandwich already, so I handed it to him and said “now you have dinner covered!”

Having a blast with Killing Floor 2 and Balatro.

Years ago someone asked me if I’d be interested in converting a web design to code for them. I expressed interest because it was potentially a chance to make some cash on the side.

They show me the design and it’s abysmal, busy, and would be stupidly complex. It was a whole can of worms waiting to happen. They were offering no money though. Instead, they said they’d give me the codebase for the custom content management system they had built so that I could use it for myself. Tried to sell it like I was getting access to something exclusive. I declined because I have zero use for that and I only accept money or an equal exchange of some sort.

The dude’s response was anger and he said “closed mouths don’t get fed I guess.” No, dude. Money talks.

I’m getting my ass repeatedly handed to me in Stalker 2 but enjoying it. Also continuing to dump hours into Vampire Survivors. Started replaying Road Redemption also so I can get my modern day Road Rash fix.
