Friendly reminder that (albeit unethical, by who isn’t) cheap Chinese watch strap knockoffs exist for a fraction of the ridiculous Google price. I’ve purchased several comfortable silicone and woven fabric straps that work perfectly with my Watch 3 that were $4-8 instead of $30-50.

As someone who used Nova for … shit, feels like a decade, I was also concerned about this when switching (I heard Nova was sold to an ad company and was super sketchy) but after using Niagara Launcher for the past month, I realized Nova was more complex than I ever needed. I haven’t tried Lawnchair yet, but don’t be afraid of switching unless there’s a hyper-specific feature you can’t live without. Give another launcher a shot for a week and see if you’re really missing Nova still!

Are you me? Love horror movies and games but jump scares are so lazy and the bane of my existence. Atmosphere is all I want. Everyone I know, though, thinks jumpscares are “fun” and I could never imagine why or how.

“S.” by Doug Dorst is in itself a fake novel, where the “real” story takes place as handwritten notes in the margins to form the complete story, the fake novel itself just a prop. But reading the novel-within-a-novel-that-is-the-novel “Ship of Thesus” by itself is an interesting short surreal read.

I remember a ton of amazing LUA-scripted games running on it after that PNG-based jailbreak. There was these crazy Smash Bros and Dance Dance Revolution clones running on my PSP in 2005 and it blew my mind haha

Its great for acade-y and mindless games, I’ve been digging Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, Dredge, Balatro, Dave the Diver, and Talos Principle

Haha same, after using the SD for so long, I started to question why I was still using the abomination known as Windows on my actual gaming PC. I switched 3 months ago and haven’t used Windows since. I realized that all I really used it for was Steam games and web apps, and Linux can do both perfectly.

Espresso machine. I was spending 8 bucks a day on lattes, and now I make them myself and stopped going to the cafe every morning, saving time and money. I also think it’s a fun morning ritual to grind the beans, measure everything, tamp, distribute, steam the milk, etc.

Btw I also impulsively bought a Steam Deck and use it way more than I thought, it’s amazing and you’ll love it!

I swear that every year for the past 20 years:

Same thing happens to me with an Xbox controller plugged into my PC with a USB cable. If it goes to sleep, I need to restart the game to use it again. And sometimes it suddenly stops working and sends a constant “analog stick down” command until I unplug it (which means I can’t use it anymore lol)

It’s also a scam. But those who fell for it and NFTs want to downtown cuz mad
