123·15 days agoThey’re still cosplaying decentralisation. Google hosts images on a separate domain to the one where they serve documents, are they decentralised? When we see more indexers, by all means let’s consider BlueSky decentralised, but until then, they’re just offloading traffic.
As a side note, it’s kinda interesting how that fediverse.info tries to pretend that Lemmy isn’t a thing, all while treating WordPress like it’s the second biggest Fediverse service and not currently trying to fuck over a bunch of users and long-term contributors.
They really just tried to get free labour.

But Brave isn’t maintaining a rendering engine, so they’re able to spend on different things.
There was a point where Yahoo paid to be the default in America, Google came back at the next opportunity and doubled (IIRC) their offer.
