Aren’t most of those at best vulnerable as a leaf in the wind; and at worst literal hacker gateways to your home?
Yeah, when I first got into Linux and FOSS I’d read their articles to get oriented. Even followed them on Mastodon. For a time, the articles and content were good, but after a while I noticed a decline in quality and more talk about proprietary things.
Nowadays, I’ve muted ItsFOSS on Mastodon and actively avoid reading their articles, because they run so many paid placements and low quality stories with non-free things placed front-and-center.
Glad I’m not the only one of this opinion. Let’s hope ItsFOSS changes
Well, sort of. There are plenty of laws that don’t need to be accepted by all UN member states, in order to be effective.
If you get a majority of states, the UN can maybe make it official law for all UN member states. This opens up the possibility of international sanctions being placed on all states that don’t follow the law.
Certainly, even if every rich guy and shady corp in the world placed their hidden wealth in your country; you might still want to be allowed to trade with other countries, and not have your government leaders jailed if they ever set foot outside of your borders
Hurray! Now we just need the majority of other states, too. It’s certainly a step towards a brighter future

I mean, that kind of board has existed for a while. They’re usually called AI-accelerator boards, IIRC
To my knowledge there’s less overhead to running graphical applications through flatpak.

Hurray! So much land was lost to too few hands the pas centuries, particularly under the military dictatorship
Out of curiousity, why not use a Windows 10 VM? Those signed ISOs should be readily available. windows 7 is a bit too vulnerable to be allowed internet access even in a VM, imo
So sad seeing people hurt others who’re just trying to get their fair share and make a slightly better life for themselves and their family
What do you like doing?
Since you’re using FreeCAD I’ll assume you’re interested in Free Software. If so, Liberapay and OpenCollective could be alright alternatives to Patreon. They take a lower platform cut of your donations, but they don’t offer ‘tiers’ and automatic awards for donors.
Weird how this (and only this) link always opens in private browsing mode in Firefox Android / Fennec
I’ve had four cases that I know of, and three vaccines. Struggling with serious brain fog, though not sure covid is the cause
Interesting! This was my desktop wallpaper on KDE Plasma yesterday, and it’s cool to see the explanation
DepYou could attempt the non-selfish kind and just donate it all to an independent health/rescue org like Red Cross/Red Crescent.
You could also go the kinda-selfish route like Alfred Nobel, known in his time as the merchant of death. Make an elaborate award&grant giving scheme for exceptional contributions to society in a variety of fields; boosting said contributions for many years. Would only recommend this route if you’ve got more than enough coin to spare, as the overhead of ensuring ethical operation is significant.
If you’ve got a house, you could transfer ownership to a trust/foundation/housing coop, to make it available for living at below market price.
I’d donate to various free software & open hardware projects important to societal improvement; like Mozilla, certain fediverse projects, PostmarketOS, Fairphone, etc. Also anarchist orgs.
