6·28 days agoIt’s the admins making a big deal about it. I literally said it happens all the time, they are acting like this is some rare thing that has never happened and now they are releasing a statement and changing their policies? I don’t know why you took issue with anything I said.

We have updated our legal policy to reflect the new rules in place that bind both our user AND our moderation staff regarding removing comments and content. We WANT users to hold us accountable to the rules we’ve ALL agreed to follow, going forward.”
You mention censorship like it’s something that never happens here. Mods delete comments they don’t agree with all the time.

In the 2000s I worked in IT and we hosted a spam filter. Back then people would send out seemingly harmless email, about Jack’s golf game or the picnic on Sunday, and their goal was to build up their domain’s reputation as a legitimate sender. Then one day they’ll send out spam and it’ll get through the filter until the spam filter catches on and cuts off that domain.
They also search people who book last minute tickets to major cities because they suspect drug trafficking
81·2 months agoIf you can’t find something and you’ve looked everywhere, get a flashlight and look again while pointing the flashlight. It has worked for me every time.
While taking King’s Pilot School class I was taught that Bernoulli’s Principal explains how planes generate lift. But a few months later I saw someone post online who said that it is actually debated whether this is true. I thought it was interesting and have been thinking about it lately. A little research found this article in Scientific American which describes the ongoing debate.
