Amazing how so many people care so deeply about the rail workers and their paid sick days but can’t be bothered to keep up with the news unless it’s being spoon-fed to them, huh?
It’s almost like they don’t actually care but enjoy engaging in performative outrage.
Signing the law that took away their right to strike made them worthless. They took away the bargaining chip and then on the backend turned this into a shady negotiation deal as a placation tactic, or another way to put it, damage control.
This gets posted because there should be no such thing as “too big to fail”. Yes, a rail strike would’ve crippled the economy, but the solidarity should’ve been there regardless. It’s shit like this that set the stage for a slippery slope to armed conflict, is that the next step?
Lawmakers take away our right to strike so that materials delivery can be forced? I disagree completely that Biden was pro-Union when at the end of the day he signed the bill that fucked the rail workers.
Their right to negotiate was stolen from them.
