An 8-year-old boy and his pregnant mother were pulled over at gunpoint by multiple Sacramento police officers on their way to football practice.
were stopped by police Oct. 17 on the highway, after the officers mistook Brandon for a juvenile with two felony warrants, including one for gun possession, according to Sacramento police.
Holy shit he’s FUCKING EIGHT YEARS OLD. Did they just see a black kid and lose their fucking minds

Yes. It’s called adultification, and it’s a common example of unconscious bias in policing.

You shouldn’t be allowed to point your gun at kids and pregnant women.
You shouldn’t be allowed to point your gun at people
First rule of gun safety “only point your weapon at something you are ready to destroy.” If an cop points their weapon at someone it should be treated like they took the shot.
theyre people killing devices. thats their intended purpose. how do you use a device for its intended purpose and not point it at the thing its designed to kill?
its the cops here who dont need to actually carry lethal weapons because acab
One is intended as a people killing device. The other is a gun.

Got it, guns are made to kill children and pregnant women then?
If they’re not pregnant it’s okay right? /s
The other day I was in the emergency room for an asthma attack. The guys across from me got into an accident due to a dui, and we’re all going to be arrested later (so they couldn’t leave). When it was my time to check out and I approached the exit, I could hear someone sprinting behind me, and a loud “STOP!”. I turned around and there was an officer that was literally seconds away from tackling me from behind.
The nurses had just barely stopped him in time. Suffice to say, I almost shat bricks.
Another time a cop pulled me over, I found a safe place, stepped out of the car and locked it, and then sat on the curb next to my car. They then threatened to shoot me if I didn’t get back in my car. I don’t even think he was worried about me being a flight risk or a danger, he just really wanted to search my car, and that made it more complicated. Luckily, I was fine. I’m a bit of a poor redneck (litteral redneck, I work outside), and fuck, cops really don’t like you when you look poor like that.
Show them license, registration, stuff like that to show compliance. Be respectful and say shit like “i respectfully decline to answer that question, sir”. If they want to search you or your car, say “I do not consent to a search”. They’ll probably search anyway, but even if they do find something, it does not hold in court, because the evidence was collected in an illegal manner.
