The legal system was set up to protect rich white men.
People forget that it’s the rich who create the laws. It’s why tenant laws are so weak in the US.
And while they are screeching about “government overregulation”, that line of thought somehow doesn’t extend to actually overregulated unions.
That’s where the conservative brain short circuits and they go into “control” mode instead.
They are taking so long because they wanna squash his chances for an appeal. They are trying to leave his lawyers without any wiggle room, so that when they appeal, it’s just a formality and no substance.
And for now, they have done a pretty good job keeping the case waterproof.
100% anyone else would be in a box down by the river right now.
And even then, he’d appeal.
It’s not backed by actual money. It’s practically an “IOU” bond. It would be ridiculous if any judge accepted it.
I do not believe he will be having a good week.
I do hope he goes to jail this week.

I have been let down so many times before. I’m not willing to get my hopes up. They’re really trying to get up, but I’m fighting them down.
At least, if/when something does happen, I can be pleasantly surprised instead of infuriatingly shocked.
I’m trying to keep my spirits up, as well. At this time we could all use a bit of hope after all the damage that has been inflicted.
