Chafa - I can turn pictures in ANSI art for my terminal
Syncthing - A godsend for me and I can’t believe how easy it is to set up and have it just work, I was almost disappointed when I was setting it up expecting issues and then the mf just works perfectly fine without issue
Tailscale - Very useful to remotely ssh to my computer(s) even from my phone
Termux - terminal on android
This one you may have heard of and it’s not exactly niche, indie or small but I’ll add it anyways just in case: Too Good To Go - allows you to get cheap food and save it from going to waste. I use it a lot when I can’t go to the university cafeteria and don’t feel like cooking
I was born in 2001 and I still used casettes when I was a kid
ok mr fancypants how about I call it a flopper? How bout that
Gen beta will probably still see faxes being used by public administration
Germany still uses faxes, it’s not surprising at all.
Tho tbf they’re common in Italy too even in the better universities
fun fact people born after 1996 are Gen Z
Signal, tho I’m not sure it has a web interface, I use their flatpak on Linux, they have apps for other OSes too (and obviously for your phones)
Ok so this still sacrifices usability for me
Generally just use multiple sources, I used Ground News for quite a while.
Every news outlet will have their biases, that is completely normal everyone has biases, even when you have multiple people reviewing the content, only a fraud will tell you they’re completely unbiased. So just seek multiple sources, preferably from also multiple countries and languages when applicable.
everyone has and always had an agenda.
Aside from that, generally I can agree, the commodification of news and profit-seeking, as often is the case, have ruined everything.
If I may ask, what are you switching to? cause in terms of privacy (without sacrificing usability and other important factors) the phone market looks like a hot pile of garbage. Well I guess FairPhones exist and they’re about as good as you can get but still runs android.
After spending some time volunteering in Ukraine I concluded that probably the best option to ethically buy clothes might just be to buy the Made in UA clothes from Ukrainian local stores tbh.
don’t run Doom with them
Some people here say space, but anything that takes you to space contains microplastics, in fact you yourself contain microplastic. The only way to avoid microplastics is simply to not exist at all. And I don’t mean dying, when you die you still have microplastics in your body.
Pro tip: you can turn the link into ddinstagram to embed on services like Discord and other ones with embeds. This way you don’t have to visit the site
not for Visas but we do use it for several public uses.
bruh what? Italy a lot of towns have a telegram and a whatsapp channel. Everyone uses whatsapp here and it’s similar in Ukraine, Ireland, and several other places.
Ignore the advice you saw in this thread, except for the one about trying the DLCs, and enjoy the game however you wanna play it. Romance both options if you want, be a terrible dad if you’re so inclined, etc. Have fun, it’s your first playthrough so enjoy it unspoiled ane cherish it, you will love it and go for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and maybe even more runs and you can minmax things later on in these runs.
The only thing I’d say you shouldn’t do is skip the dialogue and cutscenes, and sidequests. This game has a very well-crafted story (which is the main attraction) and that goes also for the sidequests so enjoy them fully.
