And teslas will have full self driving tomorrow and crypto currency will replace normal currency within one year! Always believe in the hype!
You’re fundamentally misunderstanding the comment you replied to, they are not saying that voice AI are bad, they are saying there is not enough training data to improve the AI for these languages. How will it improve without good training data?
Yeah that sounds like a terrible experience, let’s not pretend it only affects Tesla though. Lemon laws exist because all auto manufacturers run into issues like this (at different rates, Tesla may be worse then others)
If you believe people online my car would constantly be falling apart and in and out of the shop. In reality I’ve only had to take it in twice, once for new tires, and once for a new AC compressor after Tesla detected was bad before it failed (covered under warranty).
I would not rebuy my car today because there are many more options on the market now, but 5 years ago no other EV could compete. If I needed a new car and I could buy a Tesla from an identical company with a different CEO I would probably consider it…
I might be out of the loop, but wasn’t that lawsuit based around publishers not being able to sell steam keys for cheaper than the price on steam? In my mind that seems perfectly reasonable since valve is paying for the steam services that are needed to turn that steam key into a playable game.
It’s hard to have a productive conversation when I bring up a specific example of Epic being scummy, but then you wave vaguely at allegations made in an ongoing lawsuit
It doesn’t seem like you’re paying attention… Steam didn’t buy the publisher of a popular game, and have it removed from the Epic game store so that it could be their exclusive. That was Epic and the game was rocket league. If epic wanted to compete “from a consumer’s point of view” they would make a better product than steam, but their store is still missing features
Why wait for the future? You could have just pitched some of those features…
You might want to explain to your potential users what podcast 2.0 features are… I’m sure you’ve been living inside podcasts while working on this, but normal people have no idea what that term means
I’m basically running this setup with Unraid as my hypervisor. It’s definitely doable, but takes a lot of tinkering to get everything up and running and games with super strict anti cheat won’t run at all. I would only recommend going this route if you really enjoy tinkering, I’d say finding a cheap second hand PC for your NAS is probably much less work.
Every Google search should include an AI answer! Who cares about energy usage, we’ll just buy a nuclear power plant!
The charging equipment I use is a normal wall outlet. I have a pretty small commute (maybe 30 miles) and I don’t need any special charging equipment to charge that much overnight.
The only time I use a public ev charger is on road trips. I never think about charging unless I’m driving more than 250 miles in a day. The only time I’m spending a full 20 minutes at a charger is if I’m driving closer to 450 miles.
Anyone looking for a free drop in replacement, I’ve been using Rancher Desktop without any issues https://rancherdesktop.io/

Dumb things
These are not the same thing.
The Mk4 made up a lot of ground, but I agree they are a pricey option. Personally I was able to justify the price by the benefits of open source, if the company disappears tomorrow I’m confident the open source community could continue issuing firmware/slicer updates.
If open source is a big deal for you I would look into Prusa, they have a great track record and a lot of other companies are using forked versions of their slicer. I have a Prusa MK3s and absolutely love it. I had a self sourced RepRap before this and compared to that it absolutely “just works”. I bought the multi color add on and was expecting it to be very finicky, but other than some initial filament loading issues (have to make sure the end of the filament goes to a point) I absolutely love it.
I don’t understand how anyone can call the Disney Vault anything other than anti-consumer https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney_Vault
There are EVs that handle this by using a deceleration threshold, but that is not the same as just strapping an accelerometer to a car.
