For what it’s worth, was an easy paywall to bypass. Firefox focus w/ trackers disabled and a VPN let me read it.
I read this recently (quoted in the article too). It was fascinating and explains the « why » :
Not to be super-pessimistic but the pharmaceutical industry seems to based upon encouraging awareness and promotion of name brands. I run proton w/ netshield in combination w/ ff focus as a default browser, with all blockers turned on, for general use. As others said about battery use, about the same as any other VPN. Turn off either netshield or blockers and it’s terrifying how many annoying ads are in the avg. site.
