People in my state in the US have to get starlink sometimes because our infrastructure is so poor. I overheard a conversation a few weeks ago while working out in the country. A woman was saying she hated giving money to Musk but there was no good option there.

Completely depends on culture. Even in the US, I like working in the northeast because people ignore each other and it’s fantastic. In the south it actually impedes my work because it seems like everyone wants to have meaningless conversations all the time.

No criticism here just want to get the terms right. I know if a vehicle gets hit and parts of it become shrapnel then it’s called spalling. Or even if a little bullet hits something and breaks up, that’s spalling. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

But yeah I don’t mean faceplanting, I mean like you got down on some rocks quick then crawled forward. That would make the ceramic ineffectual? I would never buy metal armor. It’s too heavy and from what I’ve read, doesn’t work. I’m not looking to protect myself from some guy with a 9, I’m thinking about SHTF scenarios.

I’ve been thinking about getting plates and I’m not going to due to price.

Please keep in mind this is from someone who has never owned plates or a plate carrier or any kind of armor, but if a plate can’t survive a fall, what happens when you need to get down prone fast, potentially into rocks? Are they going to crack?

My wife easily does 80% or more of the housework. She makes less than half what I do. The thing is, she only works 40 hours or so a week compared to my 60 or so. I’m not glorifying my overwork, I hate that I work so much. I’m also out of town during the week days more than half the time.

I would be thrilled if she made more than me. We could hire a cleaning service and we would be so happy. This shit is insane and probably bad science.

This is a big part of it for sure. I have a 21 year old nephew who refuses to get his license. He just says yeah I’ve got lots of friends that drive me where I need to go. It’s not always going to be like that, kid.

I got my learner’s permit the day I turned 15 and my license the day I turned 16. Couldn’t wait to get away from my family.
