O, to be so unrealistically terrified. Filled with misery and woe.
Nothing will happen. We’ll all get up in the morning, maybe eat some breakfast, go to work, come home, play with the kids, eat some dinner, may shag your wife/husband, go to bed. Repeat. I can’t wait for four years to fly and be just as boring as the last four years.
Fine. I’ll start my own library. With external storage, and ROMS.
Wait I’m already doing that.
No one on Lemmy is upset about this. It only provides them an opportunity to increase their hate boner for Musk.
I created a filter to block all posts with “Elon Musk” in the title. It appears I have some updates to make.
Sounds good, my man.
Ah, yes, I’m having a conversation with someone with an opposing viewpoint, so clearly I’m upset. Ya caught me.
Is this some odd debate tactic people use here? Tell people they’re upset in the hope it gets them upset? Is emotional and mental stability that unstable on Lemmy? Never thought I’d pine for the reddit days.

I use to keep in contact with my metal homies. That’s about it.

I keep forgetting Lemmy is ok with millionaires all of a sudden.
You actually give your hard earned money to a millionaire? I’d rather burn it.
“I have 8 different bosses. That means when I make a mistake, I have 8 different people coming by to tell me about it.”
Some people are content to simply mind their own business. Not everyone is interested in the current controversy.
It was great before the dot com bubble burst. Even obscure fan websites had paid advertising. Even for a while after, is was great and still usable mostly because corporations hadn’t yet figured out how to completely monetize the internet.
Message boards and forums were the extent of online engagement. I miss it.
I’m an early gen Y. I knew maybe 4 people who had a cell phone, and only one of them could record a 30 second, shitty quality video. Kinda glad phones weren’t in constant use when I was in school.
The first game kinda falls flat, but they put out a pretty solid sequel with the second game.
That could have happened in specific states anytime in the last 2.5 years. That’s not specific to the next four years.
