Front left: phone, wallet, headphones (if it’s cold and I’m wearing a jacket headphones go in the left pocket of that) Front right: keys Back: nothing
I’m seeing a chindhood friend tomorow that I have’t seen for 1.5 years. As kids we were best friends, but when we got older we kinda just stopped seeing each other that often. So realy looking forward to that!
Yea ofc there is allways a too big. But energy makes a lot more sense over a big area. Not in form of a big power plant, but in a big energy network. If it’s sunny in one region and they make a lot more power than they can use and at the same time a different region has a power shortage, because it’s a cloudy day it only makes sense to share the energy. The larger the skale of your network the more efficient is your energy production. Less recources get wasted.
And annoying stuff like human rights

Everybody older than me is old and basicly dead, while everybody younger than me is a child.

It’s not that helpfull as everybody thinks and slowly people are realizing that.
Yea thats not how it works.
He could steal his banger dance moves.
That’s so sick. Realy want to dive back in, when I have a bit more free time on my hands.
Overwatch (circa 2019)
I feel that so much. The game sadly got a lot worse over the years.
Not in order:
Minsweeper was unexpected. But I actually get it. It’s such a good game to pass a short amount of time
The average person has to manually make all the accounts, switch between them, find the post and vote on it. Thats a lot of effort for one additional vote. If you realy want to have an effect you have to build a botnet and thats a lot of work to annoy some people.
Because they are acting weird in the comments.
I mean sure. It’s probably done in some extend. But on most posts it’s just not worth the trouble setting up a whole bot network, just because you don’t like to post of 3volver. And you could build a similar bot network for pretty much every other social media platform, so it’s not realy worth to invest that much time in altering the upvotes of a lemmy post. Lemmy beeing a network most people never even heard about.
The amount of tankies and idiots with idiotic opinions is way to high on here. And in general I realy get what they are saying. Other platforms with a bigger user base don’t have that big of a problem with diversity. It bothered me too, it seems like the whole of lemmy has a very idiotic position on a lot of things and saying anything that is even in the slightest against that gets you down voted. That is something that sadly developed over time. In the early days everyone was way more friendly and less radical people were on here.
that’s just the nature of smart creative people
Well. No. Say that to yourself, but ideology and belive is a lot more complex than: I am smart, so I am left. Your believes mostly stem from influences in your childhood, like parents, friends, people you trust. It’s dangerous to lift yourself above others with different believes.
Like if you’re really wanting to be challenged, and you’re a conservative, go to https://socialistworker.org/ and read up.
The problem is that a socialist worker doesn’t realy have a place to go to challenge their own opinion. Lemmy sadly has gone the way of an eco chamber. And for political discourse you need other people that have an opinion like yours that support you in your arguments. Currently it’s more like “this guy has a bad opinion, downvote him to hell”
It’s not enough for me to leave, because in general I realy like it here and with enough comunitys blocked it has become bearable.
I have a friend that grew up very poor and with a difficult family, where drug abuse was a constant issue. It went to a point where they were just living under one roof, but stopped communicating. He luckily moved out, managed to go to university and got out of that downwords spiral. His brother didn’t. He’s now a drug dealer with no vision for a different career.
I think it’s very important for me to have that perspective. It’s in a way humbling to see how much of a difference it makes to have a working family. In general I think this changes my view on society as a whole. You allways hear that some people have problems, but I allways thought that those people “just” have a hard childhood and are just normal people when they grow up and move out. But that shit leaves marks. I allways have to think about his brother who didn’t get out of that circle. He will continue to have a very hard life.
