You can’t play Rust solo or on a private server unless you buy/rent one

what do you mean? I have Exiles but I haven’t played in a couple years, since before Siptah came out (but I did buy that expansion).

Zahille7@lemmy.worldto Games@sh.itjust.works•Dune: Awakening players kept getting squashed by ornithopters, so an update has made everyone invulnerable to vehicle bashingEnglish3·6 days agoIdk if I’d go that far, just make it so if two vehicles collide then everyone dies and those vehicles are destroyed. Otherwise I’d let almost all damage be repairable.
I haven’t actually played the game myself though.
Edit: stupid fat fingers

I bounce around and go through “phases” of games I like to play quite regularly. Sometimes I like boomer shooters, sometimes I like platformers, sometimes I like RPGs, sometimes I like a weird mix of all of them.
Zahille7@lemmy.worldto PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•FBC: Firebreak released on Steam [mixed Review]English2·7 days agoDamn you actually just reminded me that Enshrouded, an open world survival game that came out in early access earlier this year, has already had a couple twitch “events” where they give “exclusive” armors and gear to the people who watch.
I mean, sure there’s all the other cool stuff already actually in the game, but it does leave a bad taste in my mouth whenever I see it.
Zahille7@lemmy.worldto PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•skate. from EA coming soon on Steam in EA [Early Access]English2·7 days agoI think Amoeba was on Skate 2 or 3, I’m not sure which. But also the Skate 2 and 3 soundtracks are pretty freaking awesome too.
You’ve got Neil Diamond - Cracklin’ Rosie, 3 Inches of Blood - Battles and Brotherhood, Agent Orange - Bloodstains, Canned Heat - Going Up The Country, ODB - Shimmy Shimmy Ya, and The Misfits - London Dungeon
Zahille7@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•BattleBit - Operation Overhaul: Teaser TrailerEnglish01·9 days agoThat’s kinda my point with my previous comment. If the devs say they’re done working on a game, most g*mers will take that to mean “stop playing our game and find something else” which makes literally zero sense.
You presumably spent money on this, let alone however many hours playing and having fun, and now just because the people who made it say they aren’t adding anything new in the foreseeable future you totally drop the game. But I also kinda meant in another sense for stuff that’s actively in development.
Take Elder Scrolls 6 for example (or even Cyberpunk 2077): the announcement trailer came out 7 years ago, and yet there have been other projects in the pipeline as well, such as Starfield and other updates for other games. You will get a constant stream of posts from impatient G*mers complaining, bitching and whining, coping and seething about “the fact that there’s been no news of Elder Scrolls 6 for years.”
My response always has been and always will be “then go make your own game and see how easy it is to make it do all the things you want”
Zahille7@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•BattleBit - Operation Overhaul: Teaser TrailerEnglish01·10 days agoBecause G*mers need a constant stream of news telling them that their current chosen favorite game is actively being worked on lest they forget and “move on” to something else.
I swear, the sheer amount of bullshit (complaining about character models, character pronouns, character creators, literally anything else) I see from gaming communities and subreddits is actually ridiculous. G*mers are literally the most entitled people on the goddamn planet.

It’s called Elder Scrolls: Castles and you can set up your own lineages and such. It’s pretty cool imo.

Zahille7@lemmy.worldto Games@sh.itjust.works•Obsidian announces a sequel to its backyard co-op survival game Grounded—and surprisingly, it'll be in early access next monthEnglish2·16 days agoSame here for a long time, until I kinda forced myself to go through the different stages of the story. I wanted to progress and the only way to truly do that in the game is to go through the story to unlock all the labs and such and cool new tools, like the zipline.
I’m excited to try this one, especially with the “buggies.” Part of me wishes at least one could go on vertical surfaces, or maybe even a flying one ; and there is the build fly mode in the first game, so they could use those controls as a basis and add combat capabilities.

I also played the demo for Cubic Odyssey. It’s basically Minecraft and No Man’s Sky, but I’m likIng it quite a bit so far. It scratches that Minecraft itch while also letting you play a space game at the same time. I just repaired my shop but I haven’t gone anywhere else yet. I’ll probably get this on sale too.
