Is this one of those “red flags” people keep talking about?

A man of culture, I see
What is it? A 1980’s calculator?
I like making stuff. The point is that you do something where you can see something grow over time into something more than just the sum of your effort. It can be anything.
I own a house, so most stuff I make are extensions or improvements on the house. Last year I build a chicken coupe. This year I remodelled the unused hallway.
If you don’t own a house you could try volunteering somewhere. I recently started volunteer work with the theatre group my daughter is a member of.
Or maybe gardening, rent a plot at a community garden.
Even working out at the gym can have the same effect.
There is no point to life. It’s not an fps adventure game, it’s a sandbox.
Don’t change. It’s much more fun this way
If you enjoy what you’re doing, you won’t have to work a single day in your life.
Those who don’t learn history are doomed to repeat it. Thanks for the quick lesson
Yes, it’s good to realise that lemmy is just as much an echo chamber as reddit is. Same echoes, differnet voice. But don’t you dare actually having a different voice, that will not be appreciate. People want to have discussions, but only with yes men.
When I buy a new phone, I take the storage out of the old one and put it in the new one
She is living her dream. She always dreamed of becoming a pig
Yesterday I half read a Dutch (paywalled) article about the German tech enterpeneur Peter Thiel (paypal). Who was boasting about not caring about politics much, but that it was very convenient to have your own man at the top (jd vance). He claims to not believe in democracy or death (that’s the title)
I was thinking… dafuq are people like this even doing in politics and who let’s them have a say in politics? This is such a clear cut case of moneyoracy instead of democracy, it’s almost comedic.
The article, for those who care: https://fd.nl/bedrijfsleven/1531173/techinvesteerder-achter-jd-vance-gelooft-niet-in-democratie-of-de-dood
I get it, it’s hard to form sentences with proper words when all these curse words are so easy to use anywhere and anytime. Especially when you have to use difficult, intelligent or educated words like “Are you actually serious?” or “skibidi people”. I know it’s challenging for people like you, but I implore you to try “clean sardonicism”.
Give it try, but beware, people might stop thinking you’re an asshole.
(Ps, just playing along here, but this did trigger me. I do loath those people who just blatantly go around insulting everyone they disagree with online)
Excuse my lack of creativity, but “this is the way”
Double rainbow deep
Yes, many millenials have been mentally fucked up by being constantly told that they were special or they would grow up to be special or achieve to become special. Now they’re not special, they’re average, just like everyone else, but they can’t handle it or accept it. They grow depressed, of get a bloated ego or vote for Donald Trump et al.
I personally think it’s a liberating feeling to just be average. Make the best of your life, no pressure. I’ve made some lasting (positive) impressions on a handful of individuals and that gives me loads more satisfaction than being a world changer and loads less stress.
I believed that you’d only get a finite amount of words in your life. So I didn’t speak much and I would think that the annoying kids in school that always were talking through the teacher’s explanation, would get their punishment later in life when they’d go mute because they would have used up all their words.
No that sucks too. Just use flameshot instead
