This is fair. I think the prices I am most annoyed by are for the pregnancy test and the ondansetron. But you’re right, I am very glad it wasn’t something serious (especially since they ruled out a kidney stone - that’s not something I want to deal with again lol). The one thing I am grateful for is that I don’t have to pay before they will help. I don’t think it’s like that everywhere and it’s definitely not like that for my pets either, which I could also spend time complaining about but I will refrain lol

Did mine a few weeks ago. The only part I’m stuck on is OneDrive, which I unfortunately need. I got access to my personal files but not the shared files. The other part is I still need to download all of my mods…which I am not looking forward to 😆 but let me just say it is so nice to have a computer that actually works! It’s older so it was getting impossibly slow.

Between Linux and the new IRS software I am feeling spoiled.

I was on Artemis and then Jerboa and now Thunder (probably a few others in between).

Artemis was going to be great but is no more, sadly.

Jerboa I just couldn’t like. I think my biggest issue when I was using it was you could only search for community names? I can’t remember exactly I just remember the difficulty searching was the last straw for me.

Thunder is great. I don’t think I have any complaints. It works as I need it to and probably has a bunch of features that I don’t use. It’s pretty new still so I’m trying not to get too attached lol but it’s updated pretty regularly, commenting works well, it allows you to preview before posting. Search seems to work great. I guess the only issue is the delay in notifications? Not really an issue for me but I guess if you’re having a more immediate conversation in the comments it might be.

Got on my laptop today and Microsoft had installed (or reinstalled?) Copilot. I was going to wait til the weekend, but that really motivated me to just do it tonight. Of course Microsoft’s backup is not working properly so I have to backup everything folder by folder. Which is annoying. But Microsoft sure knows how to get me to get things done! Thinking of sending them a thank you card.

Can’t thank them enough, honestly. The only thing holding me back is my fear of messing it up when I try to dual boot. I think I’m just hoping I will figure out a good alternative to the exactly one type of software that I need so I don’t have to deal with that. I mean really, it’s literally just a PDF editor so I know there’s an alternative. It just makes me anxious.

Edit: also, it wouldn’t let me select the language of my comment. It said this community doesn’t allow posts in English. Is that something I messed up or do some communities just not allow it to be specified?

Edit 2: finally finishing up the install now! A few minor hiccups but it was all user error.

Absolutely agree. I was a teen when it passed so did not really experience beforehand. But now I’ve been looking at pet insurance and the preexisting thing is crazy! I don’t know if it’s the same as it used to be for us, but the pet stuff is set up so even if you had one company the entire life of the pet, if you try to change companies the new company won’t cover any issues that the old company did because now they are pre-existing 😒 and a few months ago an insurance company dropped like everybody from their company so they couldn’t really get a new plan because now everything is preexisting. And it wasn’t even their choice to move. I think only 1 company allowed people to switch and honor what the old company covered.

Not to mention for us, long term disability insurance also doesn’t cover preexisting conditions. I think most life insurance doesn’t either.
