I think you’re vastly underestimating how cheap most computers are; consumer laptops are around $300-500 median, that’s what most people use. And those laptops don’t game. The enthusiast computer market, while larger than its ever been, is still a ridiculously small percentage of computers sold.

Only to the extent that websites are built for chromium compatibility, due to its monopoly on the internet. It’s great software because it’s the most popular software so all other smaller providers that serve that software have to focus their resources into ensuring compatibility. Chromium(Blink) itself is pretty mid, and definitely equal to WebKit or Gecko, not better or significantly worse.
It’s really hard for the creator of Javascript to make money off of javascript, and it’s unlikely he has any financial interest in the Mozilla corporation anymore since they’re a nonprofit and thus don’t have share holders. However, he directly profits off of Brave.
Because office space ‘overhead’ was solved for decades ago. The same shareholders of a company own shares in at least a dozen commercial real estate companies. Their bottom line goes up when a company rents or owns commercial property. It doesn’t matter if ProductionCo loses 10% revenue a year, RealEstateCo gets at least that much plus all more if they own the surrounding buildings all the restaurants are in that support the office.
Capitalism, contrary to popular belief, does not optimize for economic efficiency, just profit; and as it turns out profit has little to do with efficiency if you zoom out of any one particular company.
I mean the problem isn’t even ‘no more pay,’ you are paid less if you work in an office. All the resources you use to commute cost more money than internet, which you’re paying for anyway if you’re alive in current year. Why would you willing take a pay cut, commit yourself to 5-10 unpaid hours of commuting, and ensure that you produce worse work and are less productive and producing that work while working in the most mentally and emotionally draining environments to ever be devised?

This I agree with, but would excuse it by simply stating investment isn’t there for proper engineering standards. I’d love to produce bug-free tested to reasonably unbreakable, ethically implemented code every single time. But I’d be out of a job pretty quickly and replaced by someone willing to do it faster with more critical bugs and no thought of the ethical implications of a failure.
Python is legitimately the best language by far for the vast majority of non-performance critical tasks, and most tasks that need to be developed for are not performance critical.

His age and drug habits would make that a terrible move, on top of the fact he literally cannot shut up. If he had good lawyers, there would be no possible way in hell they would physically allow him to take the stand even if he insisted on it. Luckily for anyone rooting against him, he has truly terrible lawyers that know they’re probably not getting paid at the end of this either way.

This is a serious problem I think isn’t actually talked about enough. There is a ‘ring of trust’ on most social media now that in my opinion goes far too far; if you don’t have enough algorithmically determined ‘trust,’ you’ll be booted off without a way to appeal. Reddit shadowbans the vast majority of new accounts, but hasn’t been able to cut down on spambots; Facebook by its nature needs ridiculous amounts of personal information but even then doesn’t actually use it to assign more trust since bot-owners can supply generated information that’s equally as valid; really all social media, especially if you do anything at all to protect your privacy, assumes you’re a spambot first, then only lets you participate after you prove beyond a shadow of a doubt you might be a human. I understand we’re already half way into developing a dead internet, but there’s no reason we need to go full throttle into it by limiting actual humans from signing up past a certain point in a product’s lifespan.
No it’d be unreasonable if you were trying in a full-scale lab with sci-fi grade vats of pure THC. The LD50 is 1270mg per 1kg; or 101,600mg for an average American adult. For example that’s about twice as toxic as table salt or about 10 times less toxic than caffeine. If you were to fall in a vat of pure d9 THC suspended in any solution, you would drown before you could be exposed to enough to meet the LD50. If you got out of the vat without drowning, you would not die from the THC, literally it would be impossible. Additionally, at the rate it is metabolized by the body, that 101,600mg needs to happen within about a half hour. If you spread that exposure out over a day, you literally cannot die from it. To really emphasize this, if you’re a functional adult eating 2,000 calories of the highest density gummy available on the market (25mg d9 thc x 10 cal) per day, getting all of your nutrition from THC gummies, you would be ingesting around 5,000mg of d9 THC that day; remember you need 101,600mg per hour to reach the LD50.
It is literally not physically possible to ingest enough to overdose, and injecting it does nothing. It is easier to accidentally overdose on water than it is d9 THC.

Most conservatives, as in all of those not in charge, have issues with empathy; specifically imagining the inner world of any other human being. That’s not to say that cannot do this very simple human activity, rather they specifically cannot imagine any other human on the planet thinks any differently or has any other motivations than them. Therefore if they would do something in a situation, then everyone in that situation must be trying to do the thing that they would do.
They believe democrats are weaponizing the justice system, because it’s what they would do, and thus they assume anyone that failed to do that before now was simply prevented from doing so – now that they see ‘weaponized’ justice happening, they think it’s fair game for their guys to do it.
