The company I work for makes a product which goes into weapons like missiles, planes, jets, helicopters which are used by Israel and realizing that it was probably going to go towards helping kill innocent civilians. I mean technically we are sub sub sub contractors, but they are used explicitly for this project and purpose
My only consolation is that I stopped working on those ones personally after a week of “Make it work but dont change ANYTHING”, they constantly fail testing and are sent back for RMA, and the guy they hired to fix them is so criminally incompetent that the company has had to completely revise their hiring proces
Unfortunately with exactly 0 responses to my applications in the last year, I probably won’t be jumping ship to somewhere that pays well and doesnt have me as part of the MIC
With games, frequent and regular updates are mainly to keep people returning to the game and to fix bugs. Many apps already implement most of the features people need and dont really need new features for people to keep coming back, so the focus is moreso on maintaining compatibility and fixing bugs like crashes, as well as keeping up with OS updates (which tend not to affect games as severely, though can in some cases). Keep in mind theres a huge number of different phones which are on different OS versions with different system APIs, and msny devs dont test on a large number of devices. Desktop drivers and OSs tend to smooth over a lot of the hurdles there
Sealioning conspiracy nutjob
You mean the aether
Right?
So from like 1 billionaire
Part of it was to create new jobs and hire people, meanwhile they - *checks notes* - fired a bunch of people?
CS2 is at least 1 blatant cheater every match that I play (spinbot, anti-aim, walls, aimhack). They react to things they cant see, shoot you through a smoke and a wall with no hesitation and generally dont hide it that well. You can even watch the demo back to see them lock onto someone they havent heard or seen through the wall and follow them perfectly, reacting to what the other player does without seeing or hearing it. Vac has been a joke for years and even now with “Vac 3.0” i havent seen a single person get banned
People don’t have the skill or don’t want to put in the effort to do or get something so they cheat instead
Sometimes other people are cheating so they rage hack in response
And some people just like to make other people mad to laugh at them
To the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas
Dimmers will typically use a triac which cuts up the sinusoidal waveform. It doesnt actually lower the amplitude per se, but it limits the fraction of the time the waveform is on. Kinda like this. This means that a lot of the time the led isnt gettingas much or any power. The average power will be lower, and if the LED driving circuitry isnt designed to compensate for this, the LED will flicker.
Clarification on triacs: they get turned on a certain fraction of the way into the cycle. Triacs will stay on until the voltage across them is 0. Conveniently the zero-crossing of the AC wave (when the wall voltage crosses zero to start foing negative or from negative to positive) does just that.
Hold my beer while I make a brain out of some PVC tubes and mallets
Do you think printing without purge would make it look better? Or would it just blend into an medium brown
A lot of them don’t know the difference between ab, abp ublock and ublock origin
Not directly but since it’s federated information it would be trivial to extract or view such as running a 1 user instance and viewing the sql database, and theres likely tools now to automate that
I just want to buy a property upstate and turn it into bog
