I love my synology router and had considered buying a NAS. That’s a deal breaker for me though. I have a proxmox machine running ubuntu server as a “NAS” right now so I’ll stick with that.

I’ve learned to live with less. I don’t need a new gadget or the latest shiny plastic distraction. I buy food, gas, beer. If I just have to have something, Costco or eBay. Closed my amazon, walmart, target accounts. Don’t miss them.

this is what I’m doing. I’ve canceled every account I have except Costco. No amazon, no walmart, no microsoft, no netflix. I can sew so I’m fixing my clothes instead of buying. Keeping my 2009 car. I buy food, beer, and gas. Cash only. Vote with your wallet.

My nephew is early 20s. Union welder. He makes double my salary. I definitely picked the wrong career. Of course his job is much more dangerous than mine.

I work in IT. Network Admin. And the guys I know that code say basically the same thing. I thought about getting into it but the future looks bleak. Maybe I should become a plumber.

DDG’s AI is actually pretty good. I’ve used it several times and it’s always helpful. But I like that they let you turn it off.

I love jellyfin! I’ve been using it for a few years and it has definitely gotten better. Every once in a while, it will incorrectly detect a show and I’ll have to manually add it. Usually on obscure or older shows and movies.
