The prequels are alright if you look at them as displays for establishing world buildin rather than “normal” movies.

Also, for a period of my life, I used to put clean underwear in the freezer. That way, if the morning shower didn’t wake me up, getting dressed certainly would. 1/10 would recommend.

What about laptops would cause cancer?

Probably not. They aren’t mass produced to the same extent because while there is a market for them, that market isn’t even close to as large as the microwave market.

Also, I highly recommend Technology Connections’ video on freeze dryers, as it highlights why it’s not as useful as they may seem - They have their uses, but freeze drying is not the ultimate food preservation method.

The video goes in depth into how freeze drying works (and doesn’t), and I recommend watching the entire thing and evaluate whether you actually need one.

I sometimes skim Breitbart just to see what the current talking points and bugbears are. Calling it news is a stretch, though - I find that it better fits the definition of a blog.

I think you should, but to a limited degree. It generally makes the work atmosphere better, and it helps pass the time. But be careful about becoming overly invested in those friendships, since one day one of the friends might leave.

This somewhat depends on the work place, though. If there’s room for chitchat without a supervisor being bitchy about socializing on the clock, I don’t see a problem with it.

One caveat is that being on friendly terms is not the same as being friends. Would they be likely to accept an invitation to do something outside of the workplace?

Not really. Never felt anything else than being straight, as I’ve never felt any inclination towards liking guys, and for as long as I can remember I’ve always liked women, including in that special way that gave me that funny feeling in my pants when I was very young.

Sexuality may be a spectrum, but my location on it has always felt like a very uncomplicated one.

I will not answer the “good deal” aspect of your question, as I have no idea of the laptop market on your side of the Atlantic. But what I can say is that I steer away from HP in general nowadays:

• The good HP laptops are great. But they suffer a little from the Adidas syndrome, making them pricey just because of the brand name. The HP pavilion from 15-20 years ago was amazing. Good hardware, good build quality, incredible audio. I owned 3 or 4 of them. The only laptop with which I’ve been more satisfied is my current non-HP daily driver.
• …but their cheaper line has always been awful in every respect.
• Their business oriented laptops are pretty good, but Dell is just as good if not better.

Not really. I’ve trained dogs way older than that, but the complexity I’ve managed to teach them varies. Dogs want to be your cool bro, and given enough positive reinforcement, they’ll do whatever it takes, provided that they understand what it is that you want.

Disclaimer: I’m not a professional dog trainer. I just grew up with dogs. Golden retrievers and Field Spaniels, mostly.

I have some chargers for my RC helicopters days. They’re awesome. They can charge almost any battery type (although it took ages to charge my 12V 200Ah AGM battery), and when it’s done it plays a small fanfare.

Yeah, I’ve considered that - Remake the mdraid and partition schema on the correct drives, and then rsync everything over. It’s just a lot more manual than what I was hoping for was possible.

A 13mm (half-ish inch) ratchet spanner comes in handy quite often. It’s used everywhere, and handy to have available when you can’t be arsed taking out the entire socket set.

I think “Just be the best version of yourself” is a better phrasing.
