this is already the case, except i can eventually reach a human that doesn’t understand english, reading an english script…
at least the AI won’t get frustrated and hang up on me.

i’d have a hard time finding someone who’s opinion mattered less, on this subject…
i think right now Israel is putting an insane amount of money into propaganda…

all monogamous relationships are non-ethical
allow me to sum up interpersonal relationships between all 8 billion people in one sentence:
you can’t
but, in a nutshell… physical attraction is usually important, so is romance… usually a commitment to this person in terms of time and future plans where they become more like family (and maybe eventually actually family if you have kids)
there’s such a crazy spectrum of the ways in which people could get along and consider themselves “in a relationship”.
every rule or tendency is constantly broken, it escapes definition.
in general, it begins with attraction and flirting, or it’s cemented as a friendship…
and, poetically, i’d say it’s a relationship when they start to see themselves as an entity, and of course others will see them like that too… a sort of hive-mind develops…
sorta like when celebrity couples get a combo nickname…
i just want to pay cash, otherwise i prefer kiosks… but i see a future of hostile, nagging UI design…
like at some stores self checkout, you have to click 80 different confirmations and give your phone number, email and social security number…

it’s not about the $10, it’s the principle…
oh ive been there.
i had the manager at a mcdonalds refuse me once, so i ended up showing him the law on my phone… which didn’t convice them… so i emailed corporate, who called me back, and the store… and then the store had the law printed on the window at the entrance…
the next time i tried it there, had to still get a manager who said “i’ll just do it this one time”
and i kept letting him know that i know he has to every time…
there’s more to that:
Any gift certificate sold after January 1, 1997, is redeemable in cash for its cash value, or subject to replacement with a new gift certificate at no cost to the purchaser or holder.4 Effective January 1, 2008, any gift certificate with a cash value of less than $10 is redeemable in cash, which includes currency or check, for its cash value.
i would too, if they weren’t all around me…
most people don’t
in California, all gift cards $10 or less can be redeemed for cash.
you may have to argue with employees and management, but its the law… it’s also a misdemeanor for the cashier to refuse it to you.
whoa, im not blaming impoverished people with poor english from taking customer service jobs… they’re doing what they can with what they have…
im saying customer service is already practically a black hole… just instead of an AI that doesn’t understand or help with your problem… and regurgitates pieces of a script inappropriately, we already have that right now but with humans.
