The republicans we know said today to expect trouble and to gas up and get groceries and just hunker down for a while. Which is not at all ominous.

I won’t be watching. I’m going out to my shop at 8. No internet out there. And probably not emerging until dead of night or early morning. Then, like a lot of other women, I’ll check on my status as a person going forward.

My other half is taking Benadryl and forcing himself to go to bed. He’s given strict instructions not to wake him, even if it’s good news, with a clear Kamala win. (Yea, trouble later, but it’ll still tell us what We The People decided up front, and that means a lot.)

I just read an article about a ballot box being lit on fire in a heavily blue locale. After my initial horror I thought why there as opposed to anywhere else blue? There’s a tight contest for the house rep in that district, a purple district.

It’s better on your mental health, wanting a good escapist game and story, not to have first release bugs interrupting you. Wait for the second patch.

This man likely wants to be president, but cannot, so he’s riding the Trump train instead. As such, I suspect you can find him bending on free speech and leaning into incitement of more Jan 6 treason quite a bit in regards to that personal motive.

And it’s a Georgia vote so it matters.

How accurate is that data? I have a relative who received different results from their family tree than expected. So they sent it in again. Different results. Annoyed, they sent on yet another test. Again, different results. Not slight either, entire additions and subtractions.

Cancer recovery IS wholesome.

There are a lot of different people out there with a lot of different approaches to life among patients, but there are patterns that pop out. The most common is just straight endurance, more of a True Neutral approach of let’s just do the steps and tortoise walk through this until it’s done.

Then there are the I hate my life for doing this to me and want to pay it forward to everyone in healthcare because I have to be here at all types.

Then there’s the I’m going to roll with it because it’s no one’s fault, scared but not rancorous, and while this sucks, I want to find whatever joy I can in all the details of the life I have right now.

Tom here is like I have a thin frame and a bald head from the chemo, Picard it is this Halloween. Then he gets all his hair back, puts on the weight and a lovely beard and uses that costume again. Dual purpose probably, to bask in his recovery. A celebration of getting to use the costume again in a new way with a better, healthier body.

Tom is the latter patient. Those patients are among the most wholesome things in life you will ever encounter simply because of who they are as people.

You could return to sender what has addresses. And just return the junk that does not by dumping it in a blue drop off box, if you have one in your town.

Or do what others do, syphon off one tied off grocery bag of trash at a time each time you go to the gas station.

Or, fire pit.

Because people aren’t broke enough.
