We are the third biggest economy on this planet and still have the shittiest internet connection a developed country can possibly have, and all of that is only because one corrupt politician said (as in “was paid to say”) that Television is the technology of the future. People in my state in the US have to get starlink sometimes because our infrastructure is so poor. I overheard a conversation a few weeks ago while working out in the country. A woman was saying she hated giving money to Musk but there was no good option there.
