I think this has to do more with the popular vote going to Trump than anything Trump did specifically. They all collectively shat on him or didn’t interact with him from 2016 and all through Bidens presidency.

They saw that public opinions has shifted so badly that Trump swept everything and won the popular vote. Suddenly they are all his best friend.

They never cared. They just want to be in the “side” more people like. you’re forgetting that money/power is what drives these people. They saw more money in power in bashing Trump or siding with the Democrats until the 2024 election happened. Now they feel they can get more money and power by siding with Trump.

      They never cared

Well yeah, they’re publicly traded companies. Once the owner gives up their controlling stake and/or steps away from leadership positions, so does any kind of moral basis for the company’s decisions.

I’ve worked at private and public companies, and the owners of the private companies often made choices based on their personal moral code (i.e. we will/won’t work with org X because of Y), whereas at public companies it’s all about whatever makes sense strategically in the short to medium term, and sometimes long term.

If a publicly traded company seems to be your friend right now, that’s because it’s currently profitable for them to do so.

That’s why it’s so pathetic: he doesn’t have to. If Bernie Sanders were elected, a wealth tax implemented, etc, Meta would still exist and his quality of life wouldn’t change at all. He chooses to suck up to Trump, which is about as “small dick energy” as you can get…

For some, human pride and dignity have literally no value, or is something they will hold simply to trade it off whenever convenient, especially in a world that can value it, so it’s just like a commodity.

Imagine being one of the wealthiest people in the world and still having to suck septagenerian donkey dick in order to be “allowed” to do what you want with all your wealth and power.

It must be horrific to talk to Trump in person. He smells horrible, his moods swing constantly, he has incredibly stupid takes on issues you are an expert in, and he requires constant praise. If you take your hot wife with you he’ll be ogling her constantly. Nurses probably go out of their way to see another patient when he’s at the hospital.

Now you are one of the richest men in the world, and you have to pretend you like him. I mean, something must be seriously wrong with you if you got fuck-you money and still degrade yourself to those levels.

Tech bros are new money. The oligarchs who own all R’s, and most of the D’s, are old guard generational wealth dynasties spanning the most powerful industries — energy/commodities (fossil fuels, mining, petrochem, etc), wall street, the MIC, big agriculture, big pharma, media and telecommunications.

Those are the oligarchs who want Russian/Chinese style state capitalist dictatorship, because they’re the ones who’ll be in charge. Their lobbyists write ALL the bills and orders the GOP put forward. Trump is just the figurehead to distract the people and maintain the whole “democracy” charade until the thin veneer is no longer necessary.

I feel like ‘normal’ politicians are more beholden to old-guard oligarchs, because those are the ones that brought their parents and grandparents to power. The people who’ve been funding them through their whole, 50-year careers. Those oligarchs have generally learned to avoid the public eye, including politicians that attract public scrutiny.

Donald Trump doesn’t care about relationships, heritage, or established trust. He just wants money and flattery, right now, in great volume, and that makes him uniquely susceptible to new money tech bros.

Those oligarchs are still avoiding public scrutiny, working behind the scenes. They’ve been funding both parties the entire god damn time.

While Trump is obviously more dangerous and corrupt, and far less trustworthy than average… those oligarchs could not care less. They have more in common with a Russian or Chinese oligarch than they do with 99.999% of the American population. They have homes around the world; fallout shelters and citizenship in NZ, as well as the EU or Singapore. They have private security teams that cost more per year than you or I will make in a lifetime. Whatever happens, they’ll remain protected by all mainstream political parties the world over. Trump is a dementia patient. He doesn’t read anything he signs (like most of congress). He’s literally just a doormat for moneyed interests. The cost to bribe him is 1/1000th the tax cuts he gives them. The ROI is a no brainier. They’re not afraid of theocracy or fascism. They’re the ones implementing it.

I should start a pillow company. I could market them as being great to scream into when life…happens. When you read a headline, scream into a pillow. When a news story breaks, scream into a pillow. When your dog runs away, scream into a pillow. When your kids run away, scream into a pillow. When the government turns into a thinly fascist operation working under the direct leadership of Putin, scream into a pillow. When World War 3 breaks out, and America is the bad guys, scream into a pillow. When Canada and Mexico invade the USA, scream into a pillow. When you realize just how smug of a bastard George Clooney is, scream into a pillow! When you’re happy and you know it clap your hands! silence Ok, just scream into a pillow then.

The sad thing is, I’m now thinking I legit could make some money by releasing “Scream Pillows”. Marketed specifically as stress relief. Because that’s the 2025 we live in.

Macho Pillow. It’s a big dick bicep shaped pillow for strong, conservative men. Nothing sexual.
