The future is now, old man!
The future is now, old man!
And do what with it? Live in a partially flooded house, while dosing LSD, and giving it hand jobs?
Biggly. The biggliest in the history of the universe. Everyone’s saying, not me, but some people are saying bigglier than Hitler!
No thanks! I pronounce it exactly as it is spelled
Wow, that’s awful. What a piece of shit.
Oops, someone forgot a curly brace!
When has he ever avoided by any laws?
Trump’s SCOTUS: trump isn’t a person, he’s an idea, a movement, therefore term limits are not applicable to him.
Look into Costco hearing aid center. They offer high-end, name brand hearing aids at cost.
Doesn’t Apple natively support this now? I read a few headlines a month ago that they’re supporting software to turn these things into hearing aids.
My last pair was $6500! My current pair was $1500, because I found out that Costco sells them at cost.
They’re not just headphones. They’re several microphones, speakers, Bluetooth devices, and advanced processing computers to make them sound natural, operate in the correct bands and sound amplification levels, and be small & resilient enough to fit into or onto your ears. There’s also the costs of testing, fitting, programming, and all of the other support services that come with them. They do have crazy mark-up everywhere except Costco, but they’re not really comparable to a set of ear buds.
Mutual combat wasn’t uncommon when I was a kid. When two men were sick of each other’s shit, they would fist fight. They wouldn’t fight dirty. When the fight was over they’d often shake hands, and be done with that conflict. The wounds would heal within a couple of weeks. Emotional wounds from harassment and betrayal sometimes never heal.
I actually didn’t buy something I wanted yesterday and found an alternative instead because of the out of control price gouging the last few years. I bought a compost bin there 4 years ago for $24. I needed a new one and went to my purchase history to buy the same one. They want $50 now. Seriously, man? 100% price increase in 4 years? Nah man. I found something else. The worst part is that it wasn’t even a good can. The lid broke after a year. $50 for a tiny one gallon trash can that’ll last a year is completely ridiculous.
America was changed from the nation of my youth two decades ago, and has become more unrecognizable every year since. Like this excerpt, it’s always small incremental changes, changes you sometimes can’t even pinpoint. You’re called reactionary, or crazy when you point them out. When it’s undeniable such as the Edward Snowden events, people can’t hand-wave it away, so they turn on the person who told them, angry that their sheltered reality was shattered, then they promptly shove it down and cease to think about it further. The populace cannot be counted on to oppose these changes, especially when they’re kept intentionally on the brink, always fearful for their own security, and perpetually distracted. We have ignored history, and now we will repeat it.
Rare enough? That’s the understatement of the millennium. We know of exactly one planet with life of any sort.
Trump would definitely surrender our country to them for some extra cheese on his Big Mac.
OR, it’s just destroying ours, and the advanced civilisations want nothing to do with us. If you had a utopian society, would you want anything to do with us?
People will pay whatever a company asks as long as people have money or credit. By “people” I mean the consumerist masses, not you and me.
We learned Pythagorean theorem in 7th grade when I was a kid 30 years ago. I think they learn it even earlier now.
I think the biggest issue is starting your workout with cold muscles. If you’re just doing yoga then it’s no big deal. If you’re running, or hiking, then you don’t really want to do that with cold muscles or injury is more likely.
