Bold move, saying Valve isn’t the only company in the whole world that actually loves their customers! Reddit Lemmy hive mind is incapable of accepting such a thought.

The latter books are just weird with all the sexual imprinting and other weirdness which sounds more like written by a horny teenager than an adult.
Dragon Age, I really love the lore. Hopefully the new one won’t disappoint.
Also Wheel of Time has a really nice worldbuilding.
Isn’t it disabled by default?
Most Mastodon groups are about Mastodon, Fediverse and the drama accompanying both.
Not really. He’s 14, not a kid. Just explain to him that would not make you feel comfortable to be around them. Don’t make an idiot out of yourself, that sets a really bad example for the son.
No. Others have already said why, I’m just adding my vote.
Congrats! There’s no feeling like leaving your abusive family behind.
Well, there goes the Fediverse.
Eh… I’d be wary of small insurance companies. Sometimes they don’t like to pay. Or at least not as fast.
I prefer parametric SCAD models. Maybe because I’m more of a developer than a designer.
SCAD allows for really cool things like I did with a parametric calendar model - you just input the year and it automatically calculates the first day of the year using a clever algorithm. It also works with leap years automatically, which is less cool but still very convenient.
They probably do. But even if not, it can be used for communication with insects and other animals.
Sure, that’s why a good service doesn’t create an environment which supports people being dicks. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what SO does with the way it works.
Honestly, you already have the image locally if you’ve pulled it.
I guess not everyone treats their PC as an ephemeral storage, huh? I don’t trust anything that’s available only locally to survive.
I don’t remember exactly how, but I did the same thing for my streaming gaming laptop. I had to put my unencrypted password in the registry somewhere, but it’s been a few years, I don’t remember where I put it. But perhaps this piece of information will help.
Yeah, I’ve thought about that as well. Doesn’t mean I’m gonna miss Stack Overflow specifically. Perhaps something better replaces it when AI gets poisoned by its own output too much.
I’ve been on SO like ten times altogether since ChatGPT came out. It’s so much nicer than the condescending pricks of Stack Overflow. My favourite is when some genius links a question as a duplicate of something that’s vaguely similar.
Yes, remember that one as well, but this is a literal sound, not only a “plants communicate stress in some way” (if I remember the previous research correctly).
Eh… What? It’s an interesting article. The screaming is in quotation marks. So as far as I’m concerned, the title is fine.
No. Some people want to control other people because of their various sky daddies or a simple greed. And those are the ones fucking up your life. Everyone else could more or less get along, but fanatics, billionaires and other people hungry for control of others are actively make sure we don’t.
