Mine is Gladiator. The Disney Tarzan soundtrack is great too. What are your favorite soundtracks?
My favourite is
So many good ones, I don’t know how to choose.
- Interstellar 55555 (slightly cheating)
- Perfect Blue
- The Green Knight
- The Girl With All the Gifts
- Dune (the original)
- Densha Otoko
- Spirited Away
- Dark Knight
- Interstellar
- The Last of Us (game and show)
- Innocent Venus
Fight Club.
Tron Legacy
The Crow
Shrek 2
Sucker Punch
Haven’t seen anyone mention Cinema Paradiso or The Good the Bad and the Ugly. Both are wildly different. Ennio Morricone is a genius.
There’s also The Incredibles - Michael Giacchino The Greatest Showman - Various Artists
Saving Private Ryan - John Williams
The Prince of Egypt - Hans Zimmer
The Gospel of John - Jeff Dann (great middle eastern vibe)The crow
Kill Bill Volume 2! And I like the Carol (2015) soundtrack (totally not a lesbian).
Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse
Not a movie but all 3 Beastars openings sound so good
Tron 2. Daft Punk without lyrics is perfect for me.
Oh Brother Where Art Thou is a good one.
Koyaanisqatsi
Solaris (the remake)
Whiplash
Broken Flowers
The Fountain
Pirates ot CaribbeanI feel like whiplash is cheating but you right lol
Amélie
I was a hipster in high school and I used to have Amelie on my iPod classic. Was such a tiny screen. :)
Already lots of LOTR & Tron: Legacy here. Not seeing much love for animated film scores, so on that note & in no particular order:
- How to Train Your Dragon trilogy, 1 is personal favorite
- Kung Fu Panda trilogy, 2 is
so fucking good oh my godpersonal favorite - The Lion King (1994)
- Spirited Away
- My Neighbor Totoro
- Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
- The Super Mario Movie
- Finding Nemo
- Up
A couple of these have great soundtracks, too, but I do love a good score.
Nausicaa!
Mine is from the 1996 anime film X. It is based on a CLAMP manga and goes much harder than the poster would lead you to believe.
The soundtrack complements the tone perfectly with its experimental and unsettling atmosphere.
- Conan The Barbarian by Basil Polidouris
- Aliens by James Horner
- The Good The Bad And The Ugly by Ennio Morricone
